Methodology
How we verify.
Most outlets this size don't publish a verification standard. That's why we do. These rules are enforced before publication, not apologized for after.
1 · Every figure is sourced or labeled
A number appears in a briefing in exactly two forms: cited — with the source listed in the "Sources & verification" block at the end of the piece — or explicitly labeled an estimate, with the reasoning stated. A claim that can be neither sourced nor honestly labeled is cut. There is no third category.
2 · Signal Reports come from our own archive
Signal Reports are generated from a proprietary measurement archive: continuous collection of real search-demand and news-flow data across the sectors of the Cuban economy, running since early 2026. Every number in a Signal Report traces to that archive, and the collection window is stated inside the report. The dataset and its collection methods are proprietary; qualified researchers and institutions may inquire about access through the contact form.
3 · Real bylines only
Every piece is signed by a real, named person accountable for it — currently the founding editor. This publication does not use fictional staff personas, invented credentials, or ghost desks. Ever.
4 · AI-assisted, human-verified
Drafting and research here use AI tools, openly. AI accelerates the work; it does not get a vote on truth. Nothing publishes without editor review, and the verification rules above apply to every sentence regardless of who — or what — produced the first draft. If a week's pieces don't survive verification, nothing ships that week. Gaps in the archive are acceptable; fabrications are not.
5 · Corrections are public
When we get a fact wrong, the piece is corrected and the correction is noted on the piece itself. Material errors are acknowledged, not silently edited. Corrections can be submitted through the contact form and are read directly by the editor.
6 · The pre-relaunch archive was retired
On July 18, 2026, this publication relaunched under the standard above. Articles published before that date did not meet it — several carried fictional bylines and unverifiable figures — and were removed rather than grandfathered. Their URLs now redirect here. We consider enforcing the standard against our own archive the strongest evidence that we mean it.
7 · Disclosed interest
HER is a Cuba Strategic Partners publication. CSP holds Cuba-related digital assets; that interest is disclosed on every page footer and on the about page. Nothing here is investment advice.
